Drew Barr
Drew is the lead teacher for both our Certificate II and Certificate IV courses.
Drew started his permaculture journey as an avid teen gardener and chook fancier in the 1970s. After a long sojourn in the corporate world, and a life-changing experience on Black Saturday, Drew completed a Diploma of Permaculture and embarked on a new career as an educator. Over 7 years, he and his wife Angie have created the urban farm and permaculture centre at Templestowe College, which hosts APLC courses.
Drew has a Master of Science, a Diploma of Permaculture, and a Certificate IV in TAE.

Lucy Chen is the CEO of Gold Standard Education, and is passionate about permaculture as a philosophy for global transformation.
She lives on a block of land in Melbourne eastern suburbs with her family and an extensive permaculture garden
